Woven Star - USB

Woven Stars, these unique stars are interwoven in the center to make them appear overlapping. Simple piecing and beautiful quilting make this a fast and impressive quilt to make. Choose two (light and dark) or four colors for the star points and a background fabric. One or two colors of embroidery thread are needed.

5” blocks: 37.5” x 37.5”
8” blocks: 60” x 60”

TWO QUILT BACKING OPTIONS:

Option 1 is adding the backing while your block is in the hoop. For this option you will need to match your needle and bobbin thread on the quilting steps. You will also need to apply sashing to the seams on the back of your quilt. The advantage here is you can see the beautiful quilting on the back of your quilt.

Option 2 is adding a One Piece Back. For this option you will cut a piece of fabric the size mentioned on the next page for a One Piece Back. The back is added after the blocks are sewn together. You will stitch in the ditch on your regular sewing machine to hold all the layers together. The advantage is you do not have to wind matching bobbins or apply sashing. The disadvantage is the beautiful quilting does not show on the back.
