3 Mistakes You Don’t Want To Make…
Quilting is a fun and creative craft, but like any skill, there are some mistakes you’ll want to avoid:
- Inaccurate Cutting and Piecing:
- Problem: Quilting involves precise measurements and cutting. Inaccurate cutting can result in misaligned pieces, which can affect the overall outcome of the quilt.
- SOLUTION: HoopSister’s Quilt-in-the-hoop designs do not require great precision like traditional quilting! If a piece of your fabric is cut a little more or less than what the instructions call for, there’s typically no need to recut fabric. Because of the unique piecing in the hoop and joining methods, your quilt will still turn out wonderfully – even if a piece of fabric was 1/8” too big or too small.
- Ignoring Instructions:
- Problem: You’re sew excited to begin your new project and you’ve made so many quilts you skip reading through the instructions.
- SOLUTION: Don’t neglect the instructions! HoopSister’s detailed, step-by-step instructions can help you avoid mistakes in your blocks. Think of these instructions as having a designer right by your side through each step! We suggest reading through the instructions before beginning your project.
